TRAINING, TRAVEL & TAKING THE LEAP

I’m in a new place. Out of my comfort zone.
And with that comes clarity—new thoughts, new ideas, and space to think a little differently.

That’s what gave me the push to start documenting this new chapter. I’ve never really followed blogs or done much writing myself, but I love taking photos, exploring new places, and reflecting on the journey. So this space is where I’ll be sharing it all—part training log, part life update, part behind-the-scenes of building The Bodyweight Club in Italy.

LEAVING LONDON: THE END OF TBWC HQ

My name’s Kieran, I’m 26, and for the past five years, I ran my own personal training studio in South London.
I’ve been obsessed with movement since I was a child—rugby, golf, cycling, running, snowboarding, swimming you name it. That passion turned into my life, career, and ultimately, into The Bodyweight Club.

In those years, I coached over 220 clients, completed 4,790 appointments, and delivered 3,500+ hours of training. It was relentless, rewarding, and something I’ll carry with me forever.

But after a year and a half at full capacity, I had a choice: expand locally or step into something completely new. I chose the latter.

A NEW BEGINNNING: WHY ROMA?

Instead of growing TBWC further in London, I’ve relocated to Italy and taken the business fully online.

Why Rome?
The culture. The food. The language. The challenge. The energy.
This move is both a personal adventure and a strategic shift—a chance to rebuild not just the business, but myself too.

LIVING THE GOOD LIFE (& BUILDING A NEW ONE)

Moving forward, The Bodyweight Club will live entirely online—but still offer the full experience.
There are two main formats:

  • The Odyssey – 1:1 personalised coaching with weekly check-ins and fully tailored training.

  • Fusion & Elevation – structured rolling programmes that follow a clear progression, but without the 1:1 element.

Alongside that, I’m launching run tours through the city—my version of guided sessions for tourists and locals who want to experience Rome by foot. I’ve been discovering the best routes, photo spots, coffee breaks, and learning bits of real history that I’ll be sharing with each runner.

With Rome’s busy roads and uneven flow, it’s not always an easy city to run through—but using my local insight, I’m mapping out smooth, scenic routes that show off the city in motion. If you’re visiting Rome, I’d love to run with you.

LEARNING, ADAPTING, RECONNECTING

One of the biggest challenges? The language.
I’ll admit it—I’d always just assumed English would get me through life abroad. But it only gets you the basics. If I really want to live here, I need to communicate properly.

I enrolled in a 4-week intensive course with a brilliant teacher named Cinzia. It was fully in Italian—intimidating at first, but incredibly effective. By the end, I could finally understand real conversations. Responding? Still tricky… but I’m getting there.

Routine has been my anchor. I joined a local gym (shoutout Club Somalia) and have been using Rome’s public parks and calisthenics areas for training. Having a set rhythm has helped me stay grounded in a place where everything is unfamiliar.

Some days are still a mental battle—but training, movement, and staying focused remind me who I am. I’ve even started meeting some like-minded people, and it feels like the start of something special just in time for summer.

LOOKING AHEAD

The first few months have been amazing. A few hiccups getting set up, sure—but now that I’m officially settled, it’s time to fully commit to what I’m building.

TBWC is no longer just a gym in London. It’s a mindset, a movement, and now—a global community.

I’ll be sharing everything: how I train, what I eat, what I learn, where I run.
And if you’re reading this and you’re rebuilding something too — I’d love to connect.

Thanks for being here at the start of something new.
